Lincoln Lemieux Win DuluthContinuing where we left off after the first half of the year, here’s what AMSOIL was up to for the second half of 2018. Thanks again to Lindsay Premo for contributing her expertise on the race & event highlights of 2018.

August

The first week of August kicked off the 78th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which brought more than 500,000 spectators to the small town of Sturgis, S.D., for the legendary gathering that’s commenced since 1938. As the Official Oil of Sturgis, AMSOIL was impossible to miss and lent riders peace of mind with oil changes that allowed them to Ride Hard and Run Cool all week.

AMSOIL launched the SEVERE GEAR easy-pack, a revolutionary new gear lube packaging that showcased the company’s knack for innovation. It’s already winning awards, too. (See more on that below in October.)

Three new aerosol products joined the AMSOIL product family: AMSOIL Mudslinger provides powersports and automotive applications a layer of protection against dirt, mud and snow so they can be easily removed with low-pressure water. AMSOIL Glass Cleaner is a professional-strength, ammonia-free formulation that quickly and effectively cuts through grease and grime on any glass surface. AMSOIL Engine Degreaser keeps engine surfaces free of grease, dirt and grime without leaving behind any residue.

September

The 49th annual Crandon World Championships at Crandon International Raceway took place over Labor Day weekend. Throughout the weekend eight world Championships and the AMSOIL Cup Champion (CJ Greaves) were crowned. The best off-road racers in the world will be back next year for the 50th running of these historic races.

October

The season-ending race of the AMSOIL GNCC Series at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Ind., is always an anticipated finale. From Ironman Hill to the Monster Energy concerts, this year did not disappoint. Check out a recap video from the weekend here.

AMSOIL signed on this year as title sponsor of the Fan Zone at the 2018 Barber Vintage Festival in Birmingham, Ala. Check out some of the sweet bikes we were able to see at the event here.

AMSOIL made another SEMA appearance with a booth featuring Legendary Customs’ 1955 Chevy 3100 truck. It meshed perfectly with this year’s Runs on Freedom theme. Check out this and a few other eye-catching rides from SEMA with AMSOIL under the hood here.

While at SEMA, the SEVERE GEAR easy-pack gained international attention with a Global Media Award. New Zealand’s Caleb Thompson of Off-Road Addiction selected this product out of thousands of entries in the SEMA New Product Showcase. In recognition of the problem it solved in improving the task of changing differential fluid, Thompson chose the AMSOIL SEVERE GEAR easy-pack as the front-runner in new product development.

November

This year’s AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series title is open for the taking with Tucker Hibbert retiring at the end of last season. And with the door wide open, this season’s opener in Duluth, Minn., was prime with talent. In the end it was a battle of the Ski-Doos, with Scheuring Speed Sports’ Lincoln Lemieux closing out the weekend atop the podium.
