Our friends at Team Hybrid have been keeping busy with several high-profile show appearances, magazine features and maintaining their reputation as bona fide standard bearers on the import tuner scene. As the year winds to a close, let’s take a look at some of their recent headlines and congratulate them as they head into their 23rd year in existence with no signs of stopping.

LA Auto Show: DUB-Style

Team Hybrid had two vehicles on display in the prestigious DUB booth at the famed LA Auto Show. Oxnard Chapter’s Sergio Guevara had his 2013 Nissan 370Z on hand, along with Sonny Suraravapu’s 2013 Kia Optima SX T. AMSOIL partnered with DUB at the SEMA Show last November and saw firsthand the quality of work they put on display. There’s a reason DUB Magazine has grown into the empire it is today; they know a show-stopping vehicle when they see one, and it’s a true accomplishment to land on their radar.

Hypertune Magazine: Becoming a Regular

Based in Malaysia and in production since 2001, Hypertune Magazine reaches across oceans and speaks to enthusiasts on performance-oriented team hybrid on cover of hypertunemotoring. They’ve discovered Team Hybrid and become serious fans like ourselves, evident by the two articles, a two-page spread and a cover reference in December alone. Far from their first feature from overseas, it’s safe to say the Team Hybrid movement has legit gone international. Check out Charleston Panesta’s legendary ‘CP3’ Evo IX article here, and the impact Team Hybrid had at SEMA 2017 and beyond here.

Motor Trend International Auto Show: 8 Years of Showing

Team Hybrid was once again invited to the Motor Trend International Auto Show as the only import team to represent the tuner market. Taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center over Thanksgiving weekend, 10 Hybrid vehicles were on display to show those other teams how it’s done.

SEMA: Where the Car Stars Go

The 2017 SEMA Show brought the specialty automotive industry together once again to showcase the latest and greatest in the market today. One way companies stand out is by having head-turning vehicles placed in their booths and within their feature spots amongst the convention center grounds. This year Team Hybrid vehicles held two prime booth placements and eight feature spots. They also had four rides going to head to head with the competition in SEMA’s exciting Battle of the Builders event, and one entry into the Gran Turismo event.

Instafame: Team Hybrid Came to Win. Again.

Maybe it’s time to start feeling a little sorry for those who show up at D-Sport’s Instafame event and see Team Hybrid is on the scene another year. Team team hybrid awardsHybrid members have established themselves as the ones to beat at Instafame for years, breaking records and sweeping the trophy case. This year, they brought 21 cars and won 14 awards, including People’s Choice, Best of Show and a three-peat for ‘Best Crew’. 2017 saw them break their own Instafame record with the 14 trophy win that beat out last year’s record of 13.

Import Face-off: Tuner Domination

It’s worth mentioning again. Team Hybrid showed up at the Las Vegas Import Face-off (IFO) event, of which AMSOIL is the Official Oil. They left with another round of awards to add to their stash of thousands. They’ve officially ended the season with the #1 position in Car Club points, currently sitting at 240 points with the closest competition at a distance with 140 points. Oh, and they’re also being crowned the ‘West Region 2017 Import Face-off Club Points Champions’ for the umpteenth year in a row.
