Spring is coming and that means so is Bike Week. The 84th-annual rally kicks off February 28 and runs through March 9, 2025, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Check out the official calendar of events to see what’s happening all week long.
AMSOIL has been attending the rally for years as the Official Oil of Bike Week, so we asked our rally experts to share the best things to do while you’re visiting Daytona Beach.
Beach Rides
Daytona Beach is one of America’s most famous beaches. Whether you’re looking to get a tan or see the sea turtle hatchlings, 23 miles of pristine coastline await.
But what makes this beach so special are designated traffic lanes for bikes and automobiles, offering up a unique riding experience on hard-packed sand.
Daytona International Speedway
Maybe this one isn’t a surprise, but it should definitely make your shortlist. The Speedway pays homage to local history, when racers took to the beaches of Daytona to chase land-speed records, and it is also the home of the iconic Daytona 500.
You will find a ton of activities on and off the track during rally week, including free demo rides from Harley-Davidson,* Indian,* Kawasaki,* Yamaha* and other manufacturers. And don’t forget to stop by Thunder Alley to enjoy live music and contests.
The Jewel of Ormond Beach
On the Eastern Bank of the Halifax River lies the winter home of John D. Rockefeller. “Neighbor John” was an active community member who entertained such guests as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone.
The City of Ormond Beach renovated The Casements in 1979, and they are listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated as a Florida Heritage Site. The estate continues to serve as a cultural center and museum, including tours of the massive home and surrounding grounds.
Ponce Inlet Lighthouse
A short ride down South Atlantic Avenue brings you to another hidden treasure – the historic Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. Climb 175 feet to the top of the tallest lighthouse in the state and experience panoramic views of the world-famous beach.
Daytona Beach Boardwalk & Pier
The Daytona Beach Boardwalk & Pier offers ample entertainment, rides, shopping and dining options accompanied by scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Racing enthusiasts will find an enjoyable self-guided tour of commemorative plaques along the boardwalk.
Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail
The Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail is a 34-mile double-loop traversing Florida’s diverse scenery. Leave the Bike Week festivities for a few hours to ride this scenic loop with ready access to the Atlantic Ocean, state parks and trails. During migration season you may see whales, turtles and dolphins.
You can also stop along the way to enjoy boating, hunting, fishing and hiking. A must-ride for any outdoor lover.
The Seafood Diet
There is no better place to enjoy fresh seafood than right next to the Atlantic Ocean. And with more than 75 seafood restaurants to choose from, there are ample picturesque settings in which to enjoy a fantastic culinary experience.
The Ocean Deck is situated directly on the beach and offers a relaxing environment with everything from fresh seafood to wings.
If you prefer somewhere on the water, Off the Hook at Inlet Harbor. Chances are you’ll catch an awesome Florida sunset and maybe even see a manatee or two while enjoying your meal.
Kennedy Space Center
For those seeking more journey than jaunt, consider riding 75 miles south to Cape Canaveral, home of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. With appropriate planning, your interstellar dreams can be amplified by witnessing a rocket launch. But there’s so much to see and do, you might want to stay a few days.
Florida Sunshine
Let’s face it – for northerners still struggling through winter, Daytona offers a chance to soak up the sun and enjoy some warm weather. Simple as that. Daytona Bike Week offers no shortage of opportunities to put winter behind you for a few days.
