On the Track
Patenaude powers into the start of the season
It’s been an interesting start to the AMSOIL Championship Snocross season. A record-breaking storm powered right through the middle of the AMSOIL Duluth National, forcing cancellation of racing on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon.
Then, bitter cold struck the next round in Fargo, N.D., making it impossible to see with the snow dust.
Check out a recap below from the Scheuring trailer in Fargo.
All of that didn’t stop Scheuring Speed Sports’ Hunter Patenaude.
The reigning 2018-19 Pro Lite champ came into Fargo with guns blazing and landed atop the podium Friday night.
After taking a step down to second on Saturday, he landed right back on top on Sunday for the Duluth National make-up round. He carried that momentum into the Shakopee National, where he went nine for nine, winning all of his heat races and all of his finals.
Swap Moto El Dorado kicks off at Glen Helen
After the final event of the 2019 Swap Moto Race Series was canceled due to rain, the 2020 season roared into Glen Helen last Sunday. The first of four series kicked off with 18 races on the amateur track and 13 on the expert track.
The series gave away its 2019 season-end awards at this event. Prizes included a Yamaha dirt bike, Epoxy-It garage floor coating, AMSOIL gift certificates as well as prizes from the rest of the series sponsors.
