Sportsman’s Spotlight: The Ash Family

Based in Northern California, the Ash family has a long history in racing and AMSOIL products have been a key part of their journey ever since Tyler Ash’s grandfather introduced him to their unmatched quality.

“Everything uses AMSOIL and everything lasts!”
– Tyler Ash

He was a diesel shop owner for 40 years and a big AMSOIL supporter who would not use any other oil,” said Tyler Ash. He passed away last year, but instilled in me that there is no better oil. I run it in our cars, dirt bikes, generators and anything that uses oil. We use 10W-40 dirt bike oil, DOMINATOR® two-stroke premix and 5W-30 in our cars. Everything uses AMSOIL and everything lasts!”

Ash started racing at age 4, and now his three children are proudly continuing the family racing tradition. From AMA local events to Loretta Lynn and Mammoth races, they’re immersed in the racing scene. According to Ash, “Racing is our family. It’s all we do. It’s what my kids love and what we live for. It’s a community that we all love to be a part of.”

With three children, 10 bikes to keep in top shape and a lifetime of unforgettable memories, they embody the true spirit of a motocross family. Currently, they’re gearing up for the Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s, where their 9-year-old son will ride his 50cc Cobra MOTO* CX50, joined by their 7-year-old daughter on her Yamaha* PW50.

The Ash family racing journey is far from over. We’re cheering them on and wishing them the best of luck as they continue to pursue their racing dreams.

AMSOIL has long supported motorcycle racing and is a presenting partner for the Amateur National Motocross Championship. It is the world’s largest and most prestigious amateur motocross racing program, with 51 local qualifiers and 18 regional championships spread across the United States. The national final is held the first weekend in August at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.
