After a year hiatus, the Detroit Autorama came roaring back to the Motor City for the 69th annual show that launched the famed Ridler Award. The event turns out thousands of enthusiasts looking to witness a grand spectacle of custom and modified hot rods & muscle cars that span decades.

This year was no different, as the halls of Huntington Place (formerly known as TCF Convention Center), filled with spectators eager to see what was on display for 2022.

D-Lot Presented by AMSOIL

A returning highlight at Detroit Autorama was the D-Lot Presented by AMSOIL, produced & hosted by award-winning car designer Murray Pfaff of Pfaff Designs.

Premier builders from all over the country commence to showcase their vehicles here, and often take home awards despite stiff competition at every turn.

This year saw an impressive array of cars on display in the D-Lot, including an electric bike donated by Henry Electric Bikes that took home five awards before being given away to one lucky winner.

Detroit Autorama Benefits Make-A-Wish Foundation

In addition to having various show-ready vehicles on prominent display, the D-Lot incorporates a charitable auction for different causes each year.

This year’s beneficiary was the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan with over $40,000 in gearhead prizes up for grabs.

Over the years Murray Pfaff has raised more than $75,000 for worthy causes, aiming to give back to the community while bringing people together in a fun way. This mix of heart & hustle is what makes Murray Pfaff such a success in his craft.

AMSOIL is once again proud to support Murray Pfaff and the D-Lot Presented by AMSOIL. Check out the images of the show below and make plans now to see it for yourself next year.
