AMSOIL customer James Shaffer of Winston Salem, N.C., first tried AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oil to solve a problem in his 2014 Harley-Davidson* Sportster XL1200T.

“Being a 40-year veteran L1-certified automotive technician, I was not a big fan of the valvetrain noise,” Shaffer said. “The engineer in me was determined to do something to fix this problem that I thought should not exist in 2014.”

In his research, Shaffer found many other Harley owners were using AMSOIL products. At 256 miles, Shaffer installed AMSOIL 20W-50 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil and an AMSOIL Oil Filter.

“I took it for a test drive and over half the noise was gone, and I also noticed it does not foam up on the dipstick under severe heat like the oil that came in it,” Shaffer said. “This is so amazing to me that words cannot explain.”
