Doesn’t it seem like we just kicked off the AMSOIL Championship Off-Road season? Team AMSOIL continued winning in September at The Big House, as the 12th and final round completed over Labor Day weekend in Crandon, Wisconsin. The last checkered flag has flown just as the leaves are about to fly off the trees.
“I just like to race!”
-Kyle Chaney
Finishing with a bang!
I sat down with Scheuring Speed Sports’ Kyle Chaney mid-season at ERX and asked if he preferred racing desert or short course? His answer says it all.
“I just like to race” couldn’t be a more accurate statement for the two-time King of Hammers UTV Champion. Coming into the season under a new Scheuring Speed Sports awning, this team member was going full throttle.
Starting the season strong with a win on the first weekend in Antigo, Wisconsin, he landed on the Pro Turbo SxS podium five more times — three of those were wins.
After taking home the final win of the AMSOIL Championship Off-Road season Saturday in Crandon, he doubled down by winning the Pro Turbo SxS World Championship on Sunday.
As if that wasn’t enough, Chaney also landed on his first Pro 4×4 podium of the season on Saturday!
Brad Lovell will be inducted into the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame Oct. 30, 2022.
Guess who’s back?
Brad Lovell’s no stranger to Crandon’s infamous Turn 1. He’s cranked that steering wheel in his short course truck, taking home multiple podiums and championships.
Brad returned to Crandon in his 4600 Stock Ford Bronco for the Ultra 4 World Championships. With his wife spotting and son Byam in the pits, Lovell took to the course with his other son Adam under the Crandon lights and took home the 4600 Stock crown.
